What is a Laser TV?
Laser TV describes an ultra short throw laser projector used with a large projection surface, usually an ALR screen. The projector sits on a cabinet close to the screen, so there is no ceiling-mounted unit above the seating area. Hisense TriChroma or Epson 3LCD?
Hisense’s current TriChroma models use separate red, green and blue laser light sources to target a very wide colour gamut, with Dolby Vision available across the priority range. Epson LS670 and LS970 use 3LCD technology, delivering equal colour and white brightness without the single-chip DLP rainbow effect. Neither approach is universally best: viewing habits, sensitivity to image artefacts, room light and preferred screen size should decide the shortlist.
